Redefining employee safety

Redefining employee safety

Tended is redefining what it means to be safe at work. I spearheaded product design for Tended’s geofencing safety wearable and software platform, recognized as one of TIME magazine’s best inventions of 2023.

Brand

Tended is a rapidly evolving brand that needed an identity to elevate it to the next level, reflecting the dynamic pace of the startup and its core values. Welcome to Tended.

UI/UX

Innovative ideas demand innovative solutions. My goal is to make the learning phase for new software as seamless as possible. If users encounter confusion, it usually means the design is too complicated. The aim is to enable intuitive actions for the user. When a user hesitates or struggles with an interaction, it’s a clear signal that the UX needs improvement.

Documentation

The handoff to the development team from the product team should be seamless. At Tended, I created detailed documentation, with justification for design decisions, accessibility requirements, responsive implications and more to ensure that what I had designed would be accurately replicated by the development team.

Design System

I crafted the design system for Tended, taking a fragmented UI as a result of years of pivoting and changing product scope, to a defined & unified approach to the UI & UX.

Safety made simple
